I bought this set (purple in the photo) to sweep guinea pig beans (poo); But because the back of the shovel is open and sloping downwards, poop falls out the back of the shovel handle and suddenly what I swept isn't in the shovel. My other little pet store dustpan (a green frying pan pictured) has no problem with what I'm sweeping up because it has a rib along the back of the tray and the handle slopes upwards. This new purple pan will not be used.
