2 out of 3 fans on RTX 3090 are not working. It dawned on me when I noticed my video memory's temperature reaching 110 degrees Celsius. As soon as I saw that, I turned it off, let it cool, then turned it back on. Upon examining the card, I noticed that only one of the three fans was spinning. All attempts to get the other two to turn on were unsuccessful. I now have a very expensive heater. When this issue is resolved I will increase the rating. And by then, as I said, I've bought myself a very expensive heater and the fact that I have it but can't use it is driving me nuts - apart from costing me extra income from lost work. . πππ (Update) Their solution to this problem is I send the computer back and they refund my money, not even an exchange. Basically I would have to wait for my computer to get there for them to check it out and three days later they would refund my money - I bet there would be a restocking fee too. I spent several hours to get this item. Installation - all the software I needed, libraries, linux subsystem etc and troubleshooting to get the fans working took two days only to discover it was definitely faulty hardware. . I bought some extra fans to keep the temperature under control and I found some replacement fans online. If that doesn't work, I just put a water block on top and move on. Beyond the faulty hardware, let me explain what it's like to work on this computer. In short, it looks good, but the design is completely impractical - the case looks cool, but it's very difficult to work with. The power supply unit (PSU) is surrounded by a huge box with no access openings and takes up about a quarter of the space inside the case. I have no idea why this case was designed the way it was - every time I want to connect or disconnect something from the power supply I have to wade through the mess of RGB LED cables completely blocking the power supply and unscrewing all the screws connecting the power supply to the Block the case and pull out the power supply completely - just to put something in! I couldn't even add an extra fan to the case without disassembling something. For example, I had to pull out the graphics card because there was no room for my hands (to access the system fan connectors on the motherboard) between this stupid box and the graphics card. Finally, the case's front fans are covered in glass, and you can't remove the glass to increase airflow, which is terrible for a card that already has two of its three fans disabled. I would recommend finding someone else's computer. These people were not helpful at all and probably made me wait over a week to get my money back so I could wait another week or so to order a new computer elsewhere. I asked if I could send them the graphics card back and they sent me a new one instead, they said no. After all the shit I've been through and paid $4100, I expected better treatment - maybe I was asking too much (working graphics card in exchange for a broken one). Skytech has a computer - a prism, as it's called. -- that's a few hundred dollars more, but a lot better. The case offers enough space to work and has more fans to keep everything cool. In addition, AMD Ryzen processors are much better for video editing, CAD, etc. and are indistinguishable from Intel processors when it comes to gaming. I wish I had this instead. This processor is good, but was beaten by the Ryzen 9 3950x when it came to Xmonero crypto mining. Ryzen was outputting about 15,000 hashes per second at 90% power, while Intel was consuming a meager 2,500 hashes per second at 100% power. I'm really kicking myself for not getting Skytech. And I'm so disappointed. All my enthusiasm for this computer has turned to ash in my mouth, as Tyrion would say. Do yourself a favor and get the computer somewhere else. If not for me, then for revenge for me, offended. You don't care about the little ones and if anything goes wrong I expect you to get the same treatment as I did. Again, I don't want a refund, I want a working graphics card, which is what I paid for! I've waited for them to ship me a box and then waited for the computer to arrive at their store and then waited for them to inspect and then waited 3 days after inspection for a refund - provided , they didn't do it. find another way to fuck me out there - the duty of buying a new computer with the right hardware and then waiting for delivery is way too long, more than I can bear right now. Also, I need a computer at the same time. i hate this company Skip it, there are many better computers out there and this company doesn't help either.
