This is very warm jacket. I wore it dog walking at night when it was a windy 32 degrees outside and it kept me very warm and the wind did not seep through. The lining is a low pile fleece that feels soft. The exterior fabric is sort of Sherpa-like which blocks wind and keeps body heat inside. It is very soft inside and out. The jacket fits well though the band at the end of the sleeves was not even close to being tight to my wrist. However, the sleeves were longer than necessary so I rolled each one up an inch or two and that created a close fitting sleeve at my wrist. I like that it has numerous pockets and the collar can be zipped to stand up and block wind or it can be laid down if not zipped up all the way. This looks like a jacket that costs about $25 more than it actually sells for on Revain. For someone who needs or wants a jacket, this would make a nice gift.
