I design and sell Perler beadwork and this little strap is a godsend! The bead storage cases on the side close incredibly tight (almost too tight to open). It's usually annoying, but when it comes to dropping this thing, I know those lids aren't all going to pop open. The tray in the center is great. It takes a standard square pegboard and has storage space at the bottom for tweezers and parchment paper. The pad fits snugly and when the lid is closed it securely holds whatever project you are working on (thanks!). The only drawback is that the lid comes off when you open it. But I think it's good. If it were fixed openly while working, it could possibly fall and hit the perforated plate. The table itself is very light. If your kids only enjoy beading every now and then, it's worth going back to.
