Best for home/office but not for gaming

So this monitor replaces the 24-inch ASUS VG248 gaming monitor in our home. My immediate impressions include loving the increased screen real estate and admiring how LIGHT the monitor has become (it's half the weight of the 24-inch display it replaces). It also comes with an HDMI cable and is VESA mountable. With the included bracket, however, the Lenovo display can only be tilted at an angle, moved vertically up and down and also not rotated to portrait format. The beveled edges on the sides and top of the display are incredibly thin. My son also uses the family calculator to play games and it's immediately apparent that the graphics and speed are a bit disappointing despite the full 1080p resolution. While Lenovo's matte display comes with preset graphics configurations to optimize brightness and contrast for gaming, it doesn't compare to our Asus gaming monitor in terms of color depth, brightness, or graphic clarity. Lenovo also has a 75Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time (60Hz by default, which you need to change in your computer's settings), which is fine for watching YT videos and some games. However, in some RPGs, PvP or first-person shooters, even at 75 hertz you will experience ghosting or lag, and you need something much faster. Lenovo has an overdrive setting to minimize ghosting. However, many gaming monitors are available with 144Hz or higher refresh rates and 1ms response times for a similar price (especially if you're willing to sacrifice screen size or opt for less recognizable brands). All in all, this is a solid monitor for most home and office uses.
