Review on πŸ”’ KOOTION 32GB Encrypted Flash Drive USB3.0 Thumb Drive | Fingerprint Dual Storage Security, Black by Brian Forbis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Terrible direction!

Instructions for installing prints work as advertised. From that moment on, it took days of research on my part. I wanted to give this product a 1 or less because after being an active computer geek for 30 years I could not get this USB drive to work or find instructions on how to do it. Just when I was about to blow it up with a one star rating, I read several other reviews that led me to the answers I needed. Step 1. Follow the instructions to scan your fingers. IMPORTANT- Scan all 10 fingers! 5 from one hand and 5 from another. Later, when you try to open it, it often won't read one or three of your fingers for some reason (dry skin, moisture, just not a very good scanner, whatever). then you can just go to the next finger. Step 2, if you look at the available disks, you will see two of them. In my case, an E: drive 29.7g (32g decimal) and an F: drive no information. You then have to hold your finger on the scanner for 2 seconds (I found this to be closer to 5 seconds). If the F: drive doesn't show 29.7g, continue with the next finger. I had to use my little finger once. From there it works. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • Apparently that's all for now
Cons
  • I'll write later
