fur? Not as great as expected. The toes appear to be durable. I've had a pair of Hot Chilly long underwear for years that have held up well and been warm so I expected the socks to be worth the price too. I work outside on my feet all day and wear them with hiking boots. They are definitely not as warm as the merino wool socks I wear. I was able to use them as an extra layer over merino wool socks. I can't remember the fiber content of this sock, but it may have more acrylic or less wool. I didn't know this item was non-refundable so I kept it but I wouldn't buy it again.
