Review on 🌟 Medium Star Wars Kids' Costume by Mario Hernandez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The mask was terrible but I managed.

I gave this suit 4 stars because the mask was awful but I was able to salvage it to make a really cool helmet. I bought this costume for my girlfriend's 10 year old son and he was very disappointed with the costume at first. I modified the mask and after that I really liked it. Pros: The cape and outfit were of decent quality for a child's costume. He still uses it for his pajamas. It was warm enough that he could only wear a suit and pants underneath. The mask was the right shape and was a good base, but it needed some work. Cons: The mask was of terrible quality, wrong colors and would disappoint any Boba Fett fan just by looking at it. to breathe, so I took it off him. The scratches on the mask were just patches of paint. Does not come with a jetpack or pistol. So if you are a hardcore fan, you should buy both accessories. After removing the clear plastic from the mouth and eyes, I bought some red paint, camouflage paint, and some gray primer. I applied a primer over the entire mask, then a camouflage layer over the entire mask. I made one out of each layer so it looked like it was multicolored/multilayered when I stuck the scratches into the mask. One layer at a time, I copied the Boba Fets mask from an image I found online. After the masking tape and paintwork were done I used the edge of the concrete steps and paving to scratch up the paint a bit. Once I had the scratches in the right places I took a silver ink pen and painted over some of the scratches to make the mask look like the mask was metal underneath the paint. It looked great, but I'm not done yet. I wanted to make a helmet out of his mask so I took a balloon and used 4 layers of paper mache on top. After the balloon was dry, I cut out the paper mache the same size as his mask, then I cut out the front of the paper mache helmet to allow the mask to sit flush with it. I marked specific places where I needed to draw details and painted the helmet the same way as the mask. First a coat of gray primer, then a coat of camouflage. I then copied the back of a Boba Fett helmet I found online. Once the mask and helmet colors matched, I used painter's tape to secure them in place and then used a hot glue gun to attach the mask to the helmet. We had to use elastic straps to keep the helmet snug on the head because the white was a bit heavy in the front. Having modified the helmet I give the suit a 6 star rating. He loved it and received at least 50 compliments on Halloween night.
