This mount features a brilliantly designed phone holder that is absolutely gorgeous (as is the accompanying flip mount ), but just like the Flip mount , the installation connections are too loose to hold the phone in place. It will work for a few days and then fall off every time you hit a small bump. Thankfully, this mount only has one of those ports rather than multiple like the folding version, making it easier to manage. This connection must have a locking or tensioning mechanism to hold it in place after installation. The suction cup is excellent and has a very strong grip while still allowing you to move and reposition it as needed. The phone holder part is the best I've come across, although the plastic ball joint is a bit cheap and could use some improvement. Nevertheless, he keeps going. The weak point is the positioning hinge. It is too weak and there is no mechanism to tighten or fix it. Had they included this it would have been a solid 5 star mount. I ended up installing it in my favorite position, then removing the hinge and gluing it in place, then reinstalling it. It works, but now I can't change the position if I want to tweak it later, but I like everything else about it so I'll leave it.
