Not for incandescent lamps

I bought a high current model and tried it with LED bulbs first and it worked but the reason I bought it is because the electric fence power supplies are too expensive and I connected it to the 1970's Ford tail coil wanted to connect to get above 10k volts which most factory electric fences have but I needed a higher voltage (turn signals don't work very well and ignition modules are expensive then circuitry is required that would be simpler. This worked) possums, Raccoons, armadillos will behave as if there were no fence. Even though I had a power resistor on the ignition coil it still caused the unit to stop working so I hooked up an LED to test it and the light stayed on but stopped flickering. I was also hoping it would work like a Hulda Clark zapper (look for that). It would be about 9 volts like most of them as far as I can see. If you don't feel like it shocks you, it doesn't work, but you're not sure if this is the right setup for it.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
