I have a branded mixer and my bowl is half the size. This one is thicker, has handles, a lid, and holds a lot more. It snaps into place like the brands do and also has a latch to unlock and lock to raise the mixing head. The device comes with 3 main attachments which are well made, heavy and durable. My daughter wanted a stand mixer and I couldn't afford $500 for a grown kid. This one was 75% cheaper and works just as well. it's much newer and much quieter. This is a basic black color that will work in most kitchens because black isn't technically a color. This is a great present and I am so happy to see her face when I give it to her for her birthday.
