I bought these because I have some really long velvet bellbottoms and didn't want to ruin the fabric. These are sooooo tall! I probably gained somewhere between 5-7 inches. Also because of how my outfit ended up looking significantly retro, I received many compliments, especially from older people, and then giving me fun stories about their generation haha! Very cool boots. I don't suggest driving in them though because of how big and bulky they are. Definitely gives a lack of control while driving.
