I bought this soap for my 90 year old mother to help control the 'senile smell' that is so common in the elderly. The persimmon in soap is believed to control a substance released by the body that causes odor. She's used this soap a few times now and it lathers up really well which also means the round bar doesn't last long. The soap has a pleasant smell, but so far I can't say it does what it says it does to get rid of that particular smell. I ordered more to give it a fair test. It's expensive and, as I said, not too long due to the large foam.
