Review on Nutone 301T 16VAC 30VA Transformer by David Pirlet

The design of the product is excellent, but the design has flaws. The method of attaching this transformer to the switch box is by inserting the clip through the knockout hole. The clamp uses a screw to apply pressure to the switch box and clamp the clamp to hold the transformer in the switch box. This is bad design. Any shock or blow to the transformer will cause the entire transformer to fall out of the switch box, meaning it will become snagged on the power cables. I would not recommend this product to anyone unless you really understand what you are doing when it comes to mechanical/electrical issues.
