This is a great device. This is our third Trackmate and it works as advertised. The ease of installation is a huge improvement over my older units - no knowledge of automotive electronics required. I think it took me 5 minutes total to install it. But the key is also to buy an OBD-II adapter so it can run on car power without an electrical wire connection. Literally all you have to do is connect your GPS device to the OBD II adapter and plug the OBD connector into your vehicle's OBD II port, plug in the cables and the device and you're done . Then simply go to your existing Trackmate account portal and add your device. If you don't already have an account, creating one is fairly easy, and the monthly fee is reasonable and depends on the level of service you want. Perhaps most importantly to me, they have excellent customer/technical support. They always take your call and take as much time as needed to resolve your issue. I feel like it's a small company (like us) and I love it. No foreign information services and other confusion.
