I work as a crime scene investigator and often have to collect fingerprints. Yes, just like in the series. However, what isn't shown on TV shows is how difficult it is to lower the lifting sling to the surface without air bubbles. There are many crime scene equipment companies that sell large mops for this purpose, but they are often quite expensive. I was looking for a cheaper alternative and came across this scraper, but without a felt. I bought one and tested it, but it scratched my ribbon and made my test print invisible. So I had to find something better that wouldn't scratch the tape. That's where I found these. Bought a pack of three and tried them out. Worked perfectly. It still works perfectly. Works so well a couple of colleagues bought two more which came in a pack of three. For less than $3 a piece compared to a $20 crime scene scraper, I pick it up any day of the week. Plus, this scraper fits into smaller pockets than dedicated crime scene wipers.
