SIOTI Mini Tripod Ball Heads are great things. I've tried several others and this is the best mini ball head I've found. I use them to mount both small road cameras (Panasonic DMC-Z50) and flashes on horizontal mounts. The lock handle is smooth and strong like a stone. I would have liked if the round mounting base at the top of the device could be unscrewed from the stud, but it looks like it's going to stay there forever; but I didn't take the pipe wrench with me. I will be buying more of these for my future DIY projects before the price goes up or they go away. 1/23/2018 - Update: Today when I was replacing one of the other mini ball heads on one of my projects, I noticed
