As you can see in the detailed images, the actual WiFi adapter is under the Intel metal screen and can be easily removed from the circuit board and used in a laptop or motherboard with a dedicated WiFi slot. While I haven't experienced any of the dropouts or disconnections that you would expect from the Intel AX200, I think overall this adapter is excellent, especially at a competitive price, and offers a very good experience for almost all computers, desktops, and laptops.
