It was nice not having to go downstairs every time the baby needed changing as we share a room. But the bassinet only lasted up to 7 weeks when it was too long for her. He had an inch to go before his head touched the top and his feet had already touched the bottom. He also didn't have much room on the side, but he was still swaddled at this point, so he couldn't stretch out his arms. The duvet also hangs directly in the cradle's face and isn't pulled up very well. . Which, depending on how far it hangs, could pose a choking hazard. They also can't use a pack and play insert so they can sleep in it. The baby's weight causes it to bend a little and turn over easily (even if the baby cannot turn over yet and is fully swaddled). Not sure. Overall a good product if you take precautions. Best to change diapers. But simply having a changing table in the bedroom solves that problem.
