Doesn't work best with closet shelves and rod mounts
I was so excited about this product and really wanted to like it. But unfortunately it doesn't work at all. There is no actual tension in the "pull" bars. It just stretches and you have to use those screws to screw the two bars together at the width you want. Except the locking mechanisms on both ends don't work, so you'll need a third hand or second person to hold the shelf at the desired width while you tighten the screws. Unfortunately, I live alone and only have two hands, so this product is useless to me.
