Whilst it is light it is sturdy and holds everything I need (although I only put blankets and pillows on it. I use it in the top of my Sprinter's cabin. I wanted some storage that dead space where I didn't have to worry about hitting my head at night. A built in shelf would have had a headache in the 'front' head.

I was so excited about this product and really wanted to like it. But unfortunately it doesn't work at all. There is no actual tension in the "pull" bars. It just stretches and you have to use those screws to screw the two bars together at the width you want. Except the locking mechanisms on both ends don't work, so you'll need a third hand or second person to hold the shelf at the desired width while you tighten the screws. Bought to install between 2 painted walls in the bathroom. 1. Instructions are poorly written. 2. It has no springs to push opposite sides outward. After adjusting it between the walls, you need to use a screw to fix the width of the shelf. This screw makes a hole in the shelf making it impossible to use it elsewhere with a different width. 3. Even after following all the instructions and drilling holes in the shelves with the screws provided, the shelf will slide down under its own weight…
