I bought this to try to control my cat's urine pH. So I put the filler in a box to mix it up. Set up another box with only new junk. I was going to add catnip to lure it into the mixed box and noticed that it was pink. But he didn't urinate! The box with all the new fountain pens remained neutral in color. And at first he didn't want to use the new material without mixing it, and because it changed color, it literally turned to waste. But I will say that I like him as a regular litter. Good odor control and super light. A bit dusty. I am not sure if I will use it again or not.
