This case is the perfect size for a pair of SDC microphones. I use one on a matched pair of Schoeps CMC 6s with MK-4 primers installed and the other on a pair of primered Vanguard V1s. If required, there is enough space for another pair of alternative capsule types. They fit in another hard, large Pelican travel case for on-site transport, but are strong enough to protect the mics, organize them, and separate them from other items during transport. Mic isolation clips don't fit, but I still leave them on mic poles or mic stands, so don't keep them with SDC mics. Also use another clip for two charged MXX-8 audio devices and a charged battery. "Sled" for MixPre6. Ideal for these components and prevents them from coming into contact with metal surfaces that could cause a short circuit and fire.
