I don't use them to make tea. I use them to make moisture absorbers for dehydrated foods. I put about a teaspoon of silica gel in each pack. Then I pull the string and I have a cheap and effective moisture absorber. Where can I get silica gel? I use Fresh Step Premium Crystal cat litter. But there are other brands too. Just look at the ingredients list. It should not contain anything other than silica gel. A bag of kitty litter contains over 500 desiccants, so order a duplicate batch of these tea bags right away.
