The purchase did not justify itself at all.

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT! I was already familiar with Beats products from the use of first-generation UrBeats earplugs. After their death, I bought Sony MDR-XB510AS headphones. Ordinary cheap wired sports headphones of the Extra Bass line. After I was presented with an Apple Watch, I thought about purchasing wireless headphones. I chose between Powerbeats 3 and Sony MDR-XB80BS for a long time. I know how Sony plays, but I also remember the sound of beats. When switching from Beats to Sony, I noticed the more restrained bass of the latter. At least that's how it seemed to me then. The choice was made in favor of Beats products. I place an order, work, a room, and now I’m flying to pick up a new thing. Beautiful packaging, all in the best traditions of Apple. Opens beautifully, stacked even better. Paper stickers and other tinsel. I'm looking forward to it. I connect to the iPhone, I dress. Immediately there is a feeling that the headphones do not sit down. I'm starting to sort out the ear pads. The understanding begins to come that it's not even about them, but about the length of the sound channel of the headphones itself - it's short. In the ear, the headphones do not feel like vacuum, because of the short sound channel, they lie like regular earbuds. This results in poor passive noise isolation. Of course, there can be no talk of any deep bass and atmospheric sound here. Further more - I bought headphones for sports. When performing any exercises, they begin to walk at least a little in the ear, while making the sound absolutely flat. Bass instantly disappears into the resulting "slots". In this case, there is only one desire - to fix the earpiece as soon as possible so as not to hear this. And this is right in the middle of the approach, so-so motivation. Comparing the sound with wired Sony XB510AS, Powerbeats are inferior to them even at times. In terms of sound and ergonomics, there is an abyss between them. Landing at Sony seems to be just a reference. At the same time, I compare Sony headphones for 2900 and Beats for 12022. I can confidently say PowerBeats 3 are not worth the money. The joy of buying PowerBeats 3 can be experienced twice: when buying and when returning.
