I buy shirts with pockets because I will use them. I usually carry a pen or two, a mechanical pencil, and a very small pocket-sized notepad in my shirt pocket. The overall quality of this shirt is pretty good, although it's made of a lighter and thinner material than I expected. I bought a medium and it fits well. But the bag is so tiny I can't even carry a Parker Jotter in it unless I tilt it. This size is enough for a Kleenex napkin, that's all. When I put my small notebook (4 inches long) in it, it falls out. If, like me, you value functionality over style, you might do better with something else.
