I LOVE THESE THINGS! OH MY GLOBE THEY ARE AMAZING AND I'VE SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS MAKING SO MUCH OF THEM!

LOVE THESE THINGS! OH MY GLOBE, THEY ARE AMAZING AND I'VE SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS ON SO MUCH OF THEM! I've read many reviews and here are some of my trial and error notes for best success. Sharpies work on these clear, unpolished sheets, but to be honest I wouldn't bother unless you only use them on your young children. However, I had big plans for this great ship. For example if you use them I need to make my own merchandise or make and sell keychains then take a little extra time to sand down the section you are working on every time you do something and then use some good colored pencils (I use prismacolor) to get a really nice opaque look. Do this because even after sanding it down you can still use markers. Simply use a colored pencil or other wax medium to trace over your work so the marker doesn't bleed too much. I used this strategy to get some really cool effects with the opacity of the pencils combined with the opacity of the markers (as you can see on the rose quartz shield attached to the pink sword). You can also make the clear transparent side of your piece if you make sure any words or important asymmetrical elements are upside down (a mistake I made with the IcyHot joke that resulted in the colored side facing up showed, not the shiny side). . The transparent side up also allows for a great play of depth. I took a white oil based marker and did some great lighting effects on most of my work like Stevonnie (brown hair and blue shirt) and Aoyama (blonde hair with rose colored glasses). This product has so much potential to do really cool stuff. As for the cooking process. Many reviews had issues with them curling up or not cooking quite flat. I have found that simply leaving it for long periods of time will a) not damage the product or your oven and b) ensure that the plastic will FULLY shrink. In most cases, if it curls, it means it's half-cooked and you need to let it sit until it's hot enough to shrink completely. After it's fully compressed, sometimes it still doesn't flatten out completely, and I've found that just pressing down on a glass mug or flat-bottomed bowl, or even a ceramic press or whatever, really helps. Make sure the pan and the parchment paper you place it on are actually flat. The chains that come with them are awesome (didn't even know they were in the box until I ordered them) but I plan to make a lot of these. and LOTS of keychains, so I also ordered 100 packs of keychains for about $7. I ordered Dabit from this company because although the sides aren't pre-sanded "matte," it only takes me about 30 seconds to sand half a side and it's a lot cheaper than the brand name material. Overall 10/10 RECOMMEND!
