You can see the flap lift up and cover the belly. It's good. The "fur" collar of these dogs is fairly low, exposing most of their neck, but this is normal. The clasp on their back was really slipping so I adjusted them to size and then sewed them on to keep them in place. I also added a zipper to fasten the coat just in front of her back legs. The stupid rubber straps around her legs didn't work, so I cut them off completely. These are very warm and waterproof coats. We walked in freezing rain last night and they were comfortable.
