Use with a harness, not a collar.

Only attach to your dog's harness. This is NOT designed to be attached to a dog collar as one reviewer mentioned. (It'll be like a seat belt around your neck) Yes! Of course it would be dangerous. Seems to be of good quality and strong. Easily attaches/adjusts around the headrests. Large adjustable length to keep my pups seated. I placed one on the passenger side and one on the driver's side in the back seat. You don't get tangled and still have a free view out the window and stand, sit and lie comfortably.
