Review on Thrilling Space-themed Basketball Set: Playz Rocket Astronaut for Curious Toddlers by Phillip Brown

Not very good, like a ball pit

A fun playground for our son. He was immediately fascinated and loves to crawl and sit in the rocket ship. The rocket ship portion is big enough for an adult to sit and read (although it can get a bit cramped if you're taller - I'm 6'2 and can sit in it just fine). The only drawback is the lack of assembly instructions. It's not that difficult to figure out, but there are a lot of loops and ties so it's not always clear which ones go where. I'm still not sure if we connected everything correctly, but for now everything is working, so let's not worry. The little red triangles you see in the top corners of the ball pit area have already started to deviate from ours and this has only been the case for a day. A bit worried they won't last long - not sure how much it will affect the rest of the ball pit. Will be updated if this causes problems. Update: Downgraded to 2*s when it became clear this is not a very good ball pit. There is no real way to stop the tunnel from separating from the pit unless your kid is very careful going in and out of the tunnel ;). So the balls flow out of this hole very easily. We spend more time returning balls than in the pit. Not worth the trouble. Will look for something other than ball pit.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • There are some nuances
