Review on Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3: 15.6 Inch AMD Ryzen Gaming Laptop with RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6 by Anastazja Woitiul ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

I feel it necessary to state right off the bat that my evaluation will be based on the pricing range. Due to the fact that this is the beginning of the gaming laptop market, the standards are lower here. This is an excellent model from Lenovo, but the Legion from Lenovo is substantially stronger and more expensive in every manner, whereas this model is noticeably weaker and less expensive. I've been using it for about a month now, and I couldn't be happier with everything about it. The only thing is that there were some excellent lights in the bottom left corner of the screen, but other than that, I'm not embarrassed by the term at all. I work with the office software, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and time flies by quickly. Anything can be played as a character in games such as Detroit: Become Human and Metro: Exodus. In the first at high fps, it ranges from 30 to 60, however in the second at ultras, it averages 40-45, and while in some spots it maintains 60 frames per second, in other places it sags. In general, if you are a gamer who does not place a high level of importance on their gaming experience and who is looking for an option that falls somewhere in the middle of using a work laptop and plugging in a console to play games in your spare time, then this is a wonderful and effective choice for you. Unless, of course, you are willing to spend over one hundred thousand dollars on something that is quite similar to a gaming personal computer. When this occurs, it is best to look into higher-end computers.

Pros
  • The ratio of the price of the hardware to the quality of the construction is the primary benefit offered here. To narrow it down even further: - Video card RTX 3050 at 75 W. It heats up to no more than 85 degrees on average, and it offers extremely good frame rates when playing games. You can frequently find a 3050 that has been stripped down in other laptops that belong to this category; however, its performance will be 10–25% lower. a CPU based on the AMD Ryzen 5600H. It is necessary to restrict the frequencies of this killer to 3.3 MHz; otherwise, it will overheat. However, this has no impact on the performance of the game; the frame rate will not change, and the temperature will drop by 10-15 degrees. - Cooling. Even after several hours of gaming, the temperature has not yet risen above 85 degrees, despite the fact that the declared critical temperatures for the processor and video card are 105 degrees. The fan is not particularly loud, and the temperatures have not yet risen above 85 degrees. - The option to upgrade is available. There is room for a second stick of RAM, and you are able to install a second solid-state drive (SSD).
Cons
  • - Mark Corps appears on the screen When it comes to useful hardware, the less expensive versions of Lenovo laptops always skimp on the screen and the case. No matter how much I look at them. If the purpose of the screen is to work with office applications and play games in one's spare time, then I would not say that this is a negative aspect of the screen; nonetheless, it is not likely to be suitable for designers. This illustration does a terrible job at representing colors.
