He just got fired, so I thought we should extend his vacation a bit. If anyone has seen J. Smith's extensive testing on the YT, this gauge is described as being very robust to random transients and the like, and it meets or exceeds all published specifications in its extensive dyno testing. I suspect this is one of the few meters in this price range that can be said to be worth the money, despite being an entry-level model and made in China with a limited range. The biggest caveat is the warranty service, it's from China so I seriously doubt there's an offshore warranty service if you get a bad one. I base this statement on reviews I've seen here and elsewhere. You can (can) have it replaced at the dealer within 30 days, but don't count on it, although it's really no more a gamble than any other imported meter. Fluke's build quality at this price point is hard to argue with and it's a great first pocket meter or stocking - once you get it out of the box - lol.
