We bought these for our son when he started walking around 17 months. We bought him a size for 18-24 months. At the time he was about 30 pounds and 3 feet tall. They fit very well. He walked in it easily, there were no blisters or scrapes. They are so flexible and breathable that he wore them with and without socks. They held up great and were very easy to wash. The soles come out too, which helps with washing. We loved them and were very upset when they recently gave birth to him (he is now 21 months old). Definitely recommend them to other first time hikers.
