I have installed them in 2 of my Ryobi flashlights. It's a different kind of light, of course. It is white light other than yellowish. Because it is designed so that the light comes from the front, a flashlight's reflector has very little to do with reflecting the light beam. Yes it's bright, I don't know if it's brighter than a regular incandescent bulb. I bought these for the longevity of the LED bulb and if you drop the light it shouldn't affect the bulb itself. the time will show
