I bought this because after a long day of hammering in nails for seismic locking, which required many short strikes due to the limited space between the joists, I found that for many months I had a very had a bad trigger finger. This is when the tendon in your hand becomes inflamed and gets stuck in the tendon sheath and your finger gets stuck in the retracted position. Any hit with a hammer, or even something as simple as twisting a stuck pen, will make the situation worse. I work at Habitat for Humanity every weekday, so I didn't want to sit on the sidelines. I've looked at many gel glove options but many of them seem to be quite expensive and as the seasons change on the job site I need to be able to use different gloves. Also, I quickly wear gloves. I found this Sting Pad Pro and it was very helpful in preventing further inflammation of my tendon.
