My son likes them, he is 12 1/2, height: 16, weight: 100 pounds, very slim athletic build. I bought him the 16th length which fits well, very tight around the buttocks area but he still likes it. I wouldn't recommend buying these if your son is the same way because he won't be wearing them. I bought them for the upcoming school year, not sure if they will fit in two months. In addition, for a child in size 10/12 or 12/14, size 16 fits perfectly! UPDATE: My son hasn't even worn them after washing them and they have shrunk at least 4 sizes to fit a 9 year old boy. don't even wear size 16 smh. I hope a 7 year old will fit. Don't waste your money on these parents
