I was looking for a good way to extend the length of the Apple EarPods cable while still using the built in volume controls etc on my devices. Because this cable is 4-pin and not 3-pin like most cables, it works great. Although I've only had the cable for a few days at the time of writing, it appears to be a very well made, solid cable with solid connectors. I didn't hear any significant difference in sound quality (which is good! Sound over the cable sounds great), and it's perfect for my use case (which doesn't require perfect sound anyway).
