Review on John Frieda Sleek Finish 1-inch Flat Iron by Jennifer Duncan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Can be erected well. Bad button placement. No backlight

Other reviewers are right about the poorly placed keys. I like this straightener because it straightens the hair well if you can keep the temperature constant. The buttons are on a thin strip at the top, so it takes time to learn how to use this iron without constantly changing the temperature or even turning it off altogether. Once you get the hang of it, the iron works well but requires awkward hand positioning. My other issue is that this digital iron doesn't have a backlight. I've bought cheaper irons that at least light up to let you know when they're done! Another thing is that the bottom of this iron is very curved so it tends to roll and fall off when placed on the counter. You really have to be careful that the "legs" aren't on the edge of your countertop or the iron will keep falling off. strange because none of my other irons have ever done that. Overall not a bad iron but it won't be my main iron and I think I'll buy another Remington as it works better for me.
