I had high hopes for this unit based on its build, but it is not as durable as advertised. I very much doubt it can support 50kg of weight as it flexes a bit under the iMac's weight of around 20lbs. Other reviewers correctly pointed out that the surface is a little slippery, so I was initially concerned that vibration would move the computer over time. I put some furniture pads under the computer to prevent this from happening. A slight bend also reduces the efficiency of the drawers. In the case of conversions, a third support should be provided in the middle of the stand to prevent deflection. Perhaps this is something the company could consider for the future.
