Review on Sony ICD MS1 Digital Voice Recorder by Charlie Maadhadians

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very small, very light, very good - with one shortcoming

determination. What I've found is that it picks up your conversation EXTREMELY well, even in a noisy car, but its use is initially limited unless you have a computer with a memory card to process the information, and even from there from you need more. Things. If you don't have a Memory Stick port, you'll have to spend quite a bit of money for an adapter that takes a Memory Stick and encapsulates it into a standard 3.5-inch drive for your computer. In order for voice applications to use and print recordings now, you also need a voice recognition program like Dragon 5 or better. It's not a cheap program and previous versions don't work if you want to auto type and of course you have to spend time teaching the program to recognize your voice. The recorder itself does its job very well. The additional costs for use are disappointing, hence the 4 stars. However, there is no doubt that this is a very good recorder.
