I am a middle fingered man. Although it's marked X-Large, it only fits my fifth finger (pinky pinky) in the sense that it's my only finger that touches the end of the thimble on the inside when it's on. . However, it can be used on my 2nd (pointing) and 4th (ring) fingers - it fits quite well and doesn't slip off. I would call it Men's Small (on the XS-SML-XL scale). On the other hand, it's good design. The top of the thimble is recessed (or concave) inward so there's a decent hem to keep the needle steady when you press it, and the tabs or pockets on the side work well too. The search for a real man A thimble the size of a size must go on, but it will work until I find him.
