I've been using the first generation Astro A50 on my gaming PC for a few years now and I love it, mostly because it's extremely comfortable and also because I love the sound : while it's great for gaming, it's surprisingly good for the electronic music I listen to, as it's definitely bass-heavy but clean (as far as I know). So I decided to try the A10 to see if it was anything like the A50, only in a much cheaper package with an analogue jack and without the need for a wireless transceiver or any type of control box. And basically that's all. The fit isn't quite the same as the A50, nor is the sound, but they're both similar enough that I'm happy with the purchase as I can use it with almost any device (the A50 requires either optical audio out or USB ). from source device to base station and therefore doesn't work at all on some devices, especially almost all mobile devices.) You need reasonable amplification; The A10 didn't sound great with the first device I plugged it into (which I've forgotten for the moment but I think it was an Android tablet or phone) but was from both a laptop and USB -Amp respectable.
