Cameras do not tolerate light well. The screen often flashes white (see video) or remains completely white both at night and during the day (strong sunlight). It only seems to work well in ideal lighting conditions, which in our experience is less than half the time with a dashcam. .We used them for many hours on a 4,000 mile drive in a wide variety of conditions. This white hat behavior is an ongoing problem to the point where we have often turned it off. There is no better visibility than flashing white light. UPDATE: 8/9/21 - After contacting support, they quickly sent me a set of replacement cameras. In my initial testing, the replacement cameras handled better than the original set in low light. Didn't see the flashes of light that I saw with the original set.
