Purchased for use with an audio interface for live performance. When plugged into the interface, the audio quality sounded poor, with a loud crackle every few seconds. In the end I decided on the cable. Used an old printer cable and the sound quality was much better, no cracks. Might work well for printers and midi controllers, but I wouldn't recommend it for audio unless I've just got a faulty one.
