These are micro HDMI to HDMI cables. Micro HDMI connects to early Kindle Fires so I can project anything from my Kindle Fire like movies/TV shows to my HDMI TVs. This allows me to take my old Kindles with me wherever I go and view the content of my Kindle Fire on my TV. It's a shame that Revain has done away with this form of wired connection on the new Kindle Fires, but it's handy as not all TVs are connected to the internet, and these HDMI cable connections allow me to connect to the TV, regardless whether there is internet or not. They really should bring that HDMI connection back to the Kindle Fire as these cables allow me to project a crystal clear high definition image from my Kindle to my TV.
