Finally! <3 Best in Trackballs

Many years ago I used a Microsoft trackball similar to this one. When they discontinued this I used the Logitech version which was almost as good. I used them and bought a new one every 12-18 months because they didn't seem to last much longer, but it was the only trackball on the market that even remotely matched what I needed. When it was discontinued I was in a panic. I couldn't afford to pay the $600 that few others will go for. I've tried every similar product I've come across. My wrist can't handle moving a standard mouse, and once you get used to a finger-operated trackball, you can't help but realize how less efficient it is and how long it takes to move your whole hand. than flipping a ball with your fingers. It seemed that all other finger trackballs were made for men with very large hands. Mind you, my hands are not tiny. I'm 5ft 8 inches tall and I would say my hands are probably a bit larger than the average American's. However, other finger-operated trackballs I've found were so large that I couldn't reach (or even close) all of the buttons at once, and they were painful to use. I couldn't even touch some of them without discomfort. I've ordered and returned nearly half a dozen different trackballs. I thought I had been beaten and ordered a Logitech thumb trackball and used it for a year. A long, unhappy year. My thumb hurt, but worse, it was uncomfortable to use. The accuracy was so terrible that I probably shouldn't even mention the accuracy in one sentence. Not exactly Logitech's fault, it's just the nature of thumb-actuated trackballs. It's much easier to be precise with the index/middle finger than with the thumb. Navigating the screen was slow and tedious. Using a finger-operated trackball, my fingers dance on the ball, where one runs out of position, the other gently taking over. My thumb doesn't have a partner, so I had to lift and move my thumb to get across the entire screen. abominable. As a former WoW addict and gamer, I had to stop playing games that weren't primarily keyboard-driven (there were fewer today) because not only did I suddenly suck, but it BURNS. I couldn't even play simple games that required a lot of mouse work. came to Revain to make sure I got the name of their old trackball right. Revain, wonderful, wonderful Revain suggested this trackball. The angels sang and I ordered right away. I danced in my living room just to see what kind of trackball I needed. Of course, the ball can be a bit bigger or more open, but it doesn't have to be. The instructions are of course not in English, but I've been able to use Plug and Play (Windows 8) without any problems so far. After about a month of use the only real annoyance I had was not paying attention, it's easy to accidentally hit a button that sends me back to a page on the internet. Not a big deal and I'm sure if I could find an English version of the software I could remap the keys and probably will at some point. It was safe. It was right. it is easy to use. I can reach all the keys (and enough keys to play properly! Thanks! <3 <3 ) All in all I'm in seventh heaven when I found this product. Very grateful to those who made it and Logitech (with their keyboards that keep failing as their quality seems to be declining) might bite me!
