I wanted more sound from my 2003 Silverado SS without reworking the exhaust or using a feedback system. I did a lot of research before I found this silencer. All I had to do was cut out the old muffler and weld this in place. The SS has a two-in, two-out silencer, so the Dynomax is perfect for that location. And I kept my original stainless steel muffler and tip, which I didn't want to part with. This muffler has a great starting sound, not too loud at cruising speed and quite loud once you step on it. There's also a slight click when you let go. Hey I didn't turn on my radio or stereo for a week after turning them on so I could enjoy the exhaust music.
