These are the perfect little bowls. I will use them for small dessert portions. But they can be used to fill them with jelly, serve a small portion of ice cream, or used as a side dish to serve condiments, sauces, pickles, or custom-sized sauces. The quality of the steel is excellent, very well finished and very smooth (no sharp edges). The gold finish is very elegant, not too flashy but very even. I've hand washed them and put one in the dishwasher (that's how I usually check to make sure things are dishwasher safe. Use what's necessary the first time). All is well. They are also very easy to hand wash. I like to wipe such items dry so they don't leave stains from dry water. They're unbreakable, so if you're looking to give a little kid a snack, they're perfect and save you from stress! If you are of Indian origin like me, you can also use them for prayers and offerings. In fact, they are quite suitable for this purpose. Like Indian sweets. Each of them came individually packaged in a small plastic sleeve. And the whole set was packed in a bunch of fiberfill and secured with duct tape. However, they don't have a box, which doesn't bother me at all. But for some I think it's important. However, this is a gift and you'd better wrap it in something prettier.
