It's really cute, but it doesn't fit more than a textbook and laptop

The laptop compartment is deeper than the others so my laptop fits in well, but my laptop and textbooks are in the main compartment and they're not deep. The zipper is difficult to close. I have a textbook and my laptop and charger are in it now. I can't fit in my pen case, notebook, or other textbook. The bottom is as wide as in the picture, but it gets much narrower at the top and can't be closed when I put my stuff inside.
