Review on πŸ”Š COMMIXC Walkie Talkie Speaker Mic: Enhanced 2-Pin Shoulder Mic with Earpiece Jack - Ideal for Motorola Two-Way Radios by Dave Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Budget mic worked fine

I had to buy some cheap speaker mics to get my radios working. We used them for the Milsim West Air Soft Event. For 40 hours, microphones fell over, hung from a branch, tugged at cables, rubbed in dust and dirt. In fact, we found a UV-5R in the field that had been lost a few years ago. It charges with a fresh battery and works well. All screws are rusty. My wife had electronic hearing protection. I connected microphones to these speakers with a patch cord. This is a big plus if you can hear sound from the speaker's microphone and active sound from the headphones at the same time. If I had the budget to buy several expensive mics I would still buy them. Code Red makes them, but they stand out more. All of my speaker mics, even the expensive Motorola and Thales brands, tend to fall apart where the cable connects the mic. This is where your hands come into contact with the rubber. Time will tell with these little mics. But I didn't expect much from them to start with.
